Blog 4. Time travel to the past

 Hi everyone, it´s me again! and this time I will talk you about time travel...

Well, I think I would like to travel to the past because I would prefer to see what happened before to learn more about the history and see on my own how things were in the past. But i would like to be an observator and no modify the course of history.

So in that case, I would like to visit Chile in the past -before the colonialism- especifically I would like to observe how nature was before the exploitation and domination in mass of the people. I would really love to see the world as it was in that period of history and observe the native forests and the clean rivers, I would have that feeling of calm and peace. 

Also, I would love to see the native people of our country, and just watch how they were involved with their environment and the relationship they had with the world before outsiders of Europe came to Chile.


I think that part of what I´m saying it is related to what my career is about, to study the environment and the way that different cultures are involved with it, but in this case, just being an observer.

I imagine myself in this time traveling as a ghost that can fly everywhere she wants, and be surrounded by the nature in this magical place such as the Chilean south...

    hello, I had not thought about seeing the nature of the past, I think I would like to see the time of the spread of dinosaurs, I read a thory that everything we believe about them is a lie of science

    Hi, I imagine that the nature of Chile was so beautifull, if is beautifull now, should be more before the colonialism

    I like the idea of ​​traveling to Chile in the past, but I want to see it in Chile in the year 0 or I'm curious if there was any civilization in the territory we call Chile, I know that the Aymaras inhabit the north but I don't know if there was any native people that inhabited it the central area

Hi everyone, I´m Amelia ;)  I think a country I would really like to go to is Estonia (near Russia and Finland) because it´s a dream i have since i was little, and that is because my grandma is originally from Estonia and she was always talking about that country, so one day, my father and grandma visited Estonia, and since that day it became a dream for me to visit the country with my father, mostly because it intrigues me and it is an idea that has always been in my mind thanks to my grandma. The few things i know about Estonia, is that is very far from Chile (haha) and it is located in an extreme part of the planet so the days are very different there, for example, in summer season, days can be 20 hours of sun and only 4 of night, and because of the same effect, winter is very very cold, like -20 degrees.  I also know it is a tiny country, but wiht beautiful architecture and a lot of castles, with an interesting history... and I think that we know very little of what happen...

Bog 5. Changes to my career

Hi everyone! Here I am again, and this time with a specific subject, such as the changes that I would do to my career. I really love my career and the subjects we are studying, I'm lucky that I haven't been stressed very much this year and the last (very weir in me haha), and I think that's probably because the workload haven`t been that awful and because I have the ability to organize my time to make things in the right time. But I have to admit, that, even when I love the career, I feel that many teachers are not really qualified to teach us and to make sure that we are learning or having a good time with the topics, so those teachers increase the stress in the workload and it become tedious  to make some works or activities related to that course. Despite that, I wouldn't change the lengths of studies because I think it is really necessary to learn the most we can in this five years, but at the same time, I think it is really necessary to mix the theory with the prac...

Blog 3. My Dream Job

Hi everyone here am I again, and this time I will talk you about my dream job... I think that a Job I would like to have is a job that can let me meet a lot of persons and the different ways they live, that is very relate with my career so I think I would like to development and explore the etnography to accomplish what I said before. This job would let me travel and in consequence to open my mind to known different cultures. Despite being a person that is very attached to his place, I would really love to travel, but in Chile first, because we have a lot to know and in our country there are a lot of necesitys that needs to be solve, so I think etnography it really might be a career that can help with that things.  About the salary, I've never thought too much about it, despite people says that anthropolgy does'nt have a good salary (haha), but I`m fine with that and I really trust in myself to be in a good job and be succesfull in what Im going to do.
